Goldschmidt 2008 Travel Grant Program

Extensive student representation from around the world and from the full spectrum of geochemical sub disciplines is critical to a successful Goldschmidt Conference. Therefore, it give us great pleasure to announce that the following organizations:

  • The National Science Foundation
  • The European Association for Geochemistry
  • The Geochemical Society
  • The European Science Foundation
  • The Mineralogical Association of Canada
  • The Geochemical Society of Japan
  • The Goldschmidt Conference Organizers, and
  • Geoscience BC

have provided $62,000 (CAN$) to fund student attendance at the Vancouver Goldschmidt. A committee of scientists headed by Maureen Feineman of The Pennsylvania State University reviewed student grant requests and we are pleased to announce that 77 students from 17 countries have received funding to attend this year's Goldschmidt Conference.
