This year marked the first ever on-line election of the Geochemical Society's Directorate. The online ballots were managed by Seth Davis in the Geochemical Society Business Office who utilized surveymonkey.com to notify members and verify results. The voting launched on September 24th and concluded on October 8th. Three e-mail notices were sent to 2,409 current members of the Geochemical Society and 1,084 ballots were received. We want to thank everyone who voted and helped to open up the process of choosing the leaders of the Geochemical Society.
