This year marked the second ever online election of the Geochemical Society's Directorate. The online ballots were managed by Seth Davis in the Geochemical Society Business Office who utilized surveymonkey.com to notify members and verify results.
The voting launched on October 30th and concluded on November 15th. The results were ratified by the 2009 Board of Directors on November 19th. Three e-mail notices were sent to 3,087 current members of the Geochemical Society and 954 ballots were received.
